Available Therapies

Our patients are treated according to a well-established integrative concept developed at our institute. It has been scientifically validated and combines psychotherapy with mild drug therapy causing as little side effects as possible. As a matter of principle, therapy is preceded by a comprehensive mental and physical medical examination.

Inpatients and outpatients participate in a comprehensive and individually tailored daily schedule. Where necessary, neuropsychological training will be offered to improve the patient's cognitive functions. Nursing specialists, acting as co-therapists, support targeted activities, lead conversations with the patient's close relatives and design appropriate leisure programs.

The cooperation of our various care professionals, who take care of inpatients and day clinic patients, significantly increases the efficacy of treatment. Depending on the symptoms and the clinical picture, outpatient care can prove to be just as useful and effective.

We carry out psychotherapy in individual as well as in group therapy sessions. On request, we can also offer couple or family sessions.
In addition to the positive results seen using acupuncture in the treatment of pain disorders, acupuncture is also increasingly being used successfully in the treatment of mental and psychosomatic illnesses.

We base our therapeutic measures on a holistic approach, with regard to the physical-emotional unity of the patient.
Bio- and neurofeedback describes the direct feedback of mostly unconscious or imperceptible emotional body reactions. These interactions can be illuminated with the help of the bio- and neurofeedback. This is done by specifically training the perception to these reactions, making any changes in these processes visible.
Occupational therapy supports patients to recover their ability to act in their professional and everyday life, which was lost or limited by illness or disability. The overall goal of occupational therapy is for the patient to achieve the greatest possible independence in 3 areas of life, self-sufficiency, work and leisure.
Our nutritional counseling, nutritional therapy and diabetes advice are available to our inpatients, day clinic patients and outpatients.
Art therapy encourages the exploration of different art materials and art-relaxation exercises, in order to discover one's own creative potential - free of any performance pressure or evaluation.
Light therapy was initially developed for seasonal affective disorder or the so-called "winter depression". Subsequently, it was recognized to benefit various other illnesses and so its scope was extended.

Physiotherapy is used to rehabilitate the patient's physical ability or retrain functions for non-recoverable disorders.
Progressive Relaxation is a relaxation method that is easy and quick to learn. It trains the body to exercise tension and then actively stimulate relaxation.
Our goal is to create and maintain a maximally self-responsible and self-determined approach to life for each patient, taking into account their individual situation.
