Mindfulness

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is namely the clear and non-judgmental perception of what is happening in the current moment. Bodily sensations, thoughts and feelings, whether pleasant, unpleasant or neutral, are only observed and accepted as they are, without judgement.

In daily living this essential ability has often been lost - while we do one thing, we think about many other things and fail to notice the moment. This can eventually lead to chronic stress. The relearning of mindfulness can be healing. Put simply, in this form of therapy you learn, among other things, to do only one thing at time.

In addition, many people with depression have lost the connection to in their body, for example, they can no longer distinguish whether they are tense or relaxed. This connection can be worked on and the ability to relax quickly can also be relearnt.

In addition, mindfulness is a fundamental instrument that helps to provide distance and thus relief from internal and external stressors.
