Cristiana Cruceanu wins “Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship”

Cristiana Cruceanu received the prestigious Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship for her project “Prenatal stress investigation at the single-cell level: a multi-omics study in the cerebral organoid model”. She is awarded CAD$140,000 for two years in order to work on this project. "Congratulations on this important award," says Elisabeth Binder, Director at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, in whose department the work will be carried out.

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship is awarded by the Government of Canada and recognizes excellence. The highly prestigious program provides funding to the very best postdoctoral applicants, who positively contribute to the country's economic, social and research-based growth. It aims to develop their leadership potential and to position them for success as the research leaders of tomorrow.
