Short Bio: Sandra Siegert is a
trained biologist who studies how microglia influence brain function. Since
2015, she has been an independent research group leader at the Institute of
Science and Technology Austria (ISTA), received tenure in 2023, and since 2025
oversees the Life Sciences Research Area at ISTA as Area Chair. Sandra’s work
