Service Behavior and Physiology

A clear and reproducible behavioral or physiological phenotype in a mouse model is often the basis for successful translational psychiatric research. This Core Unit provides scientists with the expertise to run a wide number of behavioral analyses in mice, ranging from simple and standard tests of cognition, anxiety or emotionality to more advanced setups of learning and memory or complex long-term observations of social behavior. We also advise on experimental strategies, combination of behavioral setups with pharmacological, environmental or functional interventions, and data acquisition and analysis. We also provide support for the analysis of physiological systems, e.g. measurement of blood hormones, or metabolic parameters (e.g. body composition).
