Senior group

Our "senior group" is dedicated to the particular problems of patients with mental illness who are of an advanced age.

Restricted functioning due to a physical illness or cognitive impairment, the changing role after retirement, changes in the residential situation and loneliness may increase the risk of chronic complaints.

Regular group meetings address topics such as finding enjoyable activities, structuring the day-to-day routine, development and cultivation of social contacts, but also dealing with mourning and experiences of loss and the increasing need for help.

The cognitive behavioral therapy group therapy serves as the outpatient after-care of our patients. It improves the treatment compliance and thus prevents relapse. In addition, it restores and maintains life satisfaction and quality of life.
