Field potential recordings

Long-term potentiation (LTP) of synaptic transmission in the hippocampus of a mouse. Field excitatory postsynaptic potentials (fEPSPs) were recorded by means of an extracellular electrode positioned into the CA1 stratum radiatum. LTP was induced by high-frequency stimulation (HFS).

Fluorescence microscopy

Fluorescence microscopy of neurons in the central amygdala of a mouse.

Voltage-Sensitive Dye Imaging (VSDI)

Voltage-Sensitive Dye Imaging (VSDI) setup and recording of neuronal network activity in the hippocampus of a mouse.

Optogenetics setup and optogenetic induction (blue light pulses, upper recording traces) or inhibition (yellow light, lower recording traces) of neuronal action potential firing in the hippocampus of a mouse.
