Our memory consultation
Outpatient clinic for the early detection of cognitive disorders
Discover our consultation hour for memory problems and early forms of dementia. Early diagnosis can help slow the progression of disease.
Is it increasingly difficult for you to find your way when hiking, are you unable to follow a recipe as easily as you used to, or do you have trouble remembering names you have just heard? Our memory consultation is open to patients with signs of early cognitive impairment.
If sudden impairments in thinking, perception, concentration, or memory go beyond normal cognitive decline experienced during the aging process, a neurodegenerative disease such as Alzheimer's may be present. With new treatment methods, we can intervene with medication, especially during this stage, to slow down the progression of the disease. Therefore, early diagnosis is important.
We value interdisciplinary care in diagnostics, therapy, and counseling. In doing so, we can draw on the entire range of experience and services offered by our research hospital.

Diagnostic study
Take part in our study, which aims to help us diagnose cognitive impairments. Scientists at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry have discovered that the pupils provide information about mood. They want to investigate further whether the reaction of the pupil also provides information about cognitive disorders and can be used as a diagnostic tool. They use a high-speed camera to look into the eye—a non-invasive, completely painless, and uncomplicated procedure.
